Winter Coat

Olive is already the softest cat any of us have ever encountered, and this characteristic has only intensified over the last few weeks as she's acquired her winter coat. This shot from last weekend offers a pretty good indication of her thickening (and, miraculously, hypoallergenic) fur.

Cruella de Vil would swear off spots forever if she got one good look at our Olive. And, just to be as fair with our second set of siblings as we strive to be with our first, here's a shot of Orly from that same photo session. I think I can speak for everyone here - human and feline - in observing that she's been a great and welcome addition to the family.

Ar, what lovely photos and gorgeous cats.
We have just got a labrador puppy called Olive! Great name!
And our rabbit Alvin is currently getting his winter coat and is just a great ball of fur and fluff. You can lose your whole hand in his coat! Just dreading the start of spring when that gorgeous little coat of his will be nicely decorating our new rug!

Funny that you post about that, our cat Ghillie is going through the exact opposite. She is currently loosing her winter coat and is malting like mad! We have had to comb her and the comb literally fills with her fur.

They are beautiful girls. My Shiva Lullaby is the softest cat I've ever had, and I've had kitties since I was the age of your daughters. Shiva isn't any pedigree but I wonder if somewhere in her genes she isn't one of your cats' kind (forgot the name).

Wow, little bitty kitty isn't so little any more. How time flies.
