Is Work Like School?
That's what Ava wanted to know this morning.
I was behind the shower curtain in our one functional upstairs bathroom and she came in to brush her teeth, called through the screen - "Dad, is work like school, just no teachers?"
I agreed it probably was. Reading, writing, talking, all the bases covered.
She's been coming out with these questions lately, over the weekend we had this exchange after she sneezed and I said God bless you - "Dad, why do people say 'God bless you' after you sneeze?"
I was stumped, said something like it's tradition, people have been saying that for a very long time, etc.
And then she said, "maybe it's because God invented tissues."

Why Apple Wins

Ava, who is 6 and playing Webkinz games on our iMac, declares out of nowhere, "I use the computer like it's my friend, like it's my BFF."
"What does that mean," I ask.
"It means you care for it, you really, really like it. It has music, videos and games. It's like something's alive in there."
She's not a PC.
