It's so funny to me that cats love heat so much. I had a cat that loved to crawl under my parents' covers during the hot summer months (and we didn't have an air conditioner) and would sleep there all afternoon. Weird.

She looks totally happy... and you can tell she feels safe! Cats don't sprawl out like that unless they are happy and safe.

That cat is the epitomy of being luxuriously comfortable. Cats are great at that.

It wouldn't take me long to appreciate that either. Smart cat.

Blogspot listed you as a 'Blog of Note' - again, apparently according to an earlier post on your blog. Well, I tend to agree...so much in fact, I plan to be back. Thanks for making me laugh more than once.

Oh....and your post 'Seven'...dude, I am at work....warn a guy & fellow dad that he is about to get a bit misty eyed.

Cats aren't the only ones who appreciate that heat..I have a dog who wedges himself up against the heating vent on the wall, between the television and the buffet. When the heat comes on, you can read the expression of pure contentmen on his furry little face.

Love your blog ---including the great photos---and plan to visit again.

When I saw the pic before finishing reading, I thought, "oh my, that cat looks dead." Sorry to be morbid, but I thought it was a joke (since you mentioned in a previous post being the only one who didn't want the cat). But all other comments are only about cats liking to be warm and how cute the photo is...
did I just read way too much into this, or do I have a good sense of humor? Either way, love the blog. It is of note.

i love when animals stretch!

when my dog was a puppy and she got up and stretched i would always tell her 'what a good stretch!' now she'll do it on command.

We have four cats. All of them usually sleep on our bed. The other morning I laughed out loud at how they were sleeping -- the way they were laying made them equal the size of at least a five year old child! Add that to the two adults and one almost 3-year-old child -- ahem -- who were also in the bed, and there wasn't much room to spare!

I also love your blog. Keep up the good work.

I'm afraid I have to say, for a cat (my most despised animal), yours is pretty cute.

This is a cute kitty.

I used to have a cat. Her name was Brittany. She was really beautiful, but she was a serious "B". Eventually we had to get rid of her because she kept peeing on everything but the litter box.

Now we have two yorkies.
