Fantasy, Meet Reality

See, I predicted that getting a pet would be good for 75 to 80 phone-it-in posts a year, and with two already this week we are right on track.

I came across your site due to Blogs of Note and quickly added you to my favorites. I enjoy your site, love your style of writing, and will be printing out one or two of your photos. I know you will love the furry addition to your family - my kitty is sleeping on my legs making it difficult to get out of bed so I don't disturb him. All the best.

Too cute. I love your site - Blogs of Note rocks, huh?? I put a link to you from my blog. Anyway - thought todays post was funny because I blogged about my dogs today. They need some comparable post-time in addition to my kids!!

I read the other posts you mentioned that started it all...my husband could have written them. He finally caved in January to bring an adorable kitten home to us. He was outnumbered 3-1 also, though we have a son and daughter. He was able to hold us off much longer than you. It must be the extra girl that did the trick... ;)

Your kitten is so adorable. Mine is sleeping on my feet as I type. They are so sweet except when jumping on your head in the middle of the night!

I somehow feel apologetic about discovering your blog from, yes, Blogs of Note - as if I am intruding your private universe However, your prose and photos captured my eye, and although I am viewing the parenting world from a grandma's perspective (the reward you get for not killing your teenagers), I appreciate your wit and wisdom. Keep writing, please.

Congratulations on being a Blog of Note - I added you as a link from my blog! I love the pictures of the Cherry Blossoms - we only made it up there as they were just coming out. Hopefully next year will be as nice and we'll be able to catch it in full bloom! Congrats on the kitten - may years of cat hair to follow!

ahhhh, that adorable kitty again!!!
each time i come across it i try to refrain from giving a comment on it, but sometimes i just cant...esp. since that kitty so much resembles mine, which has been sort of sick these days, either had eaten something bad or had been poisoned...we're getting through with it somehow, and its getting better...it's just that, i get really emotional on kitty issues right now..
and ive been reading through your blog and your older posts (since i discovered this blog just recently) and i really love your style of writing and how you convey every day situations...they feel so real, events, actions, conversations...really nice and neat
congrats!
